SimplyVAV: Choosing A Model

The SimplyVAV series of controllers is an easy and unique approach to operating a wide variety of VAV terminal units. With integrated actuators, internal airflow sensors, and an array of application programs – these BACnet Application Specific controllers are ideal for either new or retrofit installs.

Performing a VVT Retrofit with KMC Controls

Light-commercial HVAC systems commonly include either a roof-top or heat pump unit with pressure-dependent variable volume and temperature, or VVT, zones. These systems had cost benefits but were not the most consistent nor efficient. A complete system overhaul is expensive, as is continually replacing components. There is one cost-effective solution – a VVT retrofit – which changes the system to a pressure-independent VAV, or Variable Air Volume, system.

Zoning Controllers

SimplyVAV^TM controllers are an easy and unique approach to operating a wide variety of VAV terminal units. These BACnet^® Application Specific controllers include an integrated actuator, internal airflow sensors, and a wide variety of application programs, making them ideal for both new and retrofit installations.

SimplyVAV controllers feature simple, menu-driven setup choices when used with a SimplyVAV digital sensor. No special programming skills or software tools are required to choose applications, enter setpoints, set network addressing, and balance airflow. All options can be set using only a STE-8001 digital sensor, which can be installed as the permanent room sensor or temporarily connected as a technician’s service tool.

All models are BACnet^® Application Specific Controllers ready to connect to a BACnet MS/TP network.
