KMC Controls, a leader in building automation systems, today announced that Richard Newberry, strategic advisor to KMC’s board of directors, has been appointed to a second term on Realcomm IBCon’s Advisory Council. KMC is a sponsor and participant in the Realcomm IBCon conference, which will be held in San Jose, California June 21stthrough 23rd, 2016.
Newberry has led corporate development, new product innovation, and competitive strategy for KMC since 2014. He currently leads KMC’s collaboration with Intel and Dell in developing KMC Commander™, a revolutionary Internet of Things (IoT) platform for building automation.
The Advisory Council is a collection of thought leaders from building automation, property management, and technology firms working together to navigate the challenges of implementing IoT solutions across a broad array of buildings and portfolios as information technology and operational technology continue to converge.
KMC’s IoT offering forms an end-to-end solution, from sensors and controllers (edge devices) to cloud-based remote management applications. Remote visualization and control are enabled via a cloud-hosted, mobile application based architecture with secure data access.
KMC launched the Commander platform at the AHR Expo in January 2016. The company will be exhibiting its new technology at Realcomm IBCon.
Parties interested in attending either event, seeing the demonstration, and meeting with the development team may contact KMC Controls at www.kmccontrols.com.
