KMC Controls is hitting the Windy City for the AHR Expo, Jan. 22-24

It may be cold outside, but there is no hotter – or should we say comfortable and controlled – place to be this January than Chicago. KMC Controls is excited to be part of the 2018 AHR Expo at Chicago’s McCormick Place, Jan. 22-24. The show, now in its 86th year, is the world’s largest HVACR marketplace, hosting more than 2,000 exhibitors and 65,000 attendees.

“KMC has long been part of the AHR Expo,” said Richard Newberry, KMC’s CEO. “But this is more than just a tradition for us. The event brings together all aspects of the HVACR industry, allowing us to make new connections, visit with old friends and see what’s on the horizon in new concepts and technologies.”

Located at booth 4036 in the South Hall, KMC will feature its entire product line, with special emphasis on KMC Commander, its most advanced IoT platform. KMC Commander collects data from a facility using an onsite gateway and sends it to the cloud, where users can track, trend and trigger that data from anywhere, on any device – securely.

KMC will be joined by two special guest companies at the booth: Dell and Kodaro. KMC has partnered with Dell, as well as Intel, for nearly four years on KMC Commander. The KMC Commander BX is built on the Dell Edge Gateway series with Intel inside. The Dell crew will be on hand to answer any questions about the series and talk about KMC Commander’s place in IoT.

“The HVACR industry is the keystone of smart building technologies,” said Jeff Brown, Vice President, IoT & OEM Sales, Dell EMC. “KMC Commander is essential to Dell EMC’s comprehensive IoT ecosystem and we couldn’t be more excited to share this product with the AHR audience.”

This is Kodaro’s first AHR Expo. This new Bay Area-based company develops software for the building automation industry, with the goal to help contractors, controls companies and end-users find value in their building data. Kodaro’s Niagara 4 Port for the Dell Edge Gateway allows building automation professionals to take full advantage of the speed, memory and durability of the Edge Gateway while using the Niagara 4 framework.

“Kodaro is looking forward to making our AHR debut with KMC this year,” said Kodaro President Larry Andriunas. “Our software efforts meet with KMC’s leading work in building automation hardware especially around IoT gateways. Together we’re able to talk about a complete integrated systems approach to advanced solutions for building operators.”
