The MEP-7552 actuator is a powerful, efficient, and durable electric actuator that provides tri-state or proportional control for large control air dampers or valves in HVAC systems. It is the perfect solution for precise and efficient control of large air dampers and valves in your HVAC system.
This powerful, durable device offers tri-state or proportional control, ensuring that your equipment operates at optimal performance levels. With a torque of 180 or 320 in-lb. over a 94-degree angular rotation, you can expect smooth and accurate operation. The fail-safe capability and switch-selectable fail direction provide an extra layer of safety for your equipment.
The MEP-7552 actuator is a proportional, fail-safe, 24VAC/VDC, 180 in-lb electric actuator that provides tri-state or proportional control for large control air dampers or valves. Capacitor-driven fail-safe models provide durable, efficient operation with switch-selectable fail direction.
The proportional models accept a wide range of control signal inputs, including 0-10 VDC, 2-10 VDC, or 4-20 mA, from thermostats, controllers, or building automation systems.
The “anti-jitter” circuitry significantly reduces hunting and wear on the actuator and valve packing or damper components.
A user-initiated, auto-mapping feature allows for more precise equipment control by reassigning the input signal range over a reduced rotation range (from 45 degrees to 94 degrees).
The switch-selectable, voltage feedback output is proportional to the actuator position, giving you real-time information on your equipment’s performance. With the 0-10 VDC input, feedback options are 0-5 or 0-10 VDC, and with 2-10 VDC or 4-20 mA inputs, feedback options are 1-5 or 2-10 VDC.
The tri-state models are designed for use with floating thermostats, controllers, or building automation systems and feature an optional 10K ohm potentiometer feedback output.
Fail-safe models also allow two-position control. The actuator mounts directly on 3/8″ up to 1.05″ round or 5/16″ up to 5/8″ square shafts, eliminating the need for expensive and complicated linkages.
A non-rotation bracket is included to prevent lateral movement. A gear disengagement button allows manual positioning of the damper and/or gear train without energizing the actuator. Removable terminals and 1/2-inch NPS conduit fittings make wiring easier. The actuator is protected against overloading and does not require end or limit switches.
Adjustable single or dual SPDT auxiliary switches can also be field installed on any model. These actuators are suitable for use in large air dampers and valves and are protected against overloading. Other options in this series include the MEP-4200/4500/4900 series for lower torque requirements.
With its minimum torque of 180 or 320 in-lb, capacitor-driven fail-safe models, and various control options, this actuator is versatile and easy to use. The actuator’s built-in anti-jitter circuitry, auto-mapping feature, and switch-selectable feedback voltage output further enhance its precision and durability. Its direct-coupled design, non-rotation bracket, and removable terminals make installation and maintenance simple. Furthermore, it offers the option of adjustable single or dual SPDT auxiliary switches which can be field installed on any model.
