The BAC-4000 series KMC AppStatTM brings the power of an equipment controller, with the added convenience of a thermostat with built-in humidity and motion sensors.
The AppStat may operate stand-alone or as part of an integrated building management system. No special software, programming, or setup tools are required to configure and commission the device. Set-up is simple. You can access all settings and options through the five front panel buttons using the menus in the full-color display.
For AppStats with the optional humidity sensor, the display will alternate between the temperature and humidity readings.
The controllers include a wide range of factory-supplied programs for fan coil units, roof top units, heat pump units and packaged and split unitary systems. And it is secure, with separate passwords for users and controls techs and engineers.
The AppStat is perfect for new installations or upgrades of older, less efficient thermostats. Installation is easy, similar to existing thermostats. You only need to mount the backplate to a wall or electrical box, connect wires to the screw terminals and plug the AppStat into the backplate.
Another benefit of the AppStat is that all models are native BACnet, ready to connect to a BACnet MS/TP network. Device instance, MAC address, and baud rate are set from the password protected front controls. All models feature a real-time clock and BACnet schedule. The schedule can be set up from the front panel or accessed by standard BACnet objects and properties.
